This notice explains how we process personal data on this website under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

2. How we process data in general

We only process personal data where it is needed to run this website and our services, or where you choose to provide it (for example via the waitlist form).

Where we rely on your consent, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Where processing is necessary for our legitimate interests and those interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

3. Hosting, server logs and IP addresses (STRATO)

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany.

When you open the site, STRATO processes technical access data (including IP addresses and other server log information) as needed to operate, secure and stabilise the service.

Legal basis for hosting: our legitimate interest in a secure, reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). STRATO acts as our processor (Article 28 GDPR).

4. Waitlist

If you join the waitlist, we process the data you submit so we can contact you about TACSTA early access, pricing and field tests.

4.1 Data and purpose

We use your email address to send those updates.

To limit abuse, we may briefly store a hashed IP address for rate limiting (up to one hour). Our internal notification email may also include the time of signup and user-agent string. That is for abuse prevention, not advertising analytics.

4.2 Legal basis

Email processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Short-term IP-related processing for spam protection is based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4.3 Retention

We keep your email while you remain on the waitlist. Rate-limit data is not used after at most one hour. If you withdraw, we delete the address unless a legal retention duty applies.

4.4 Withdrawal

You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future by emailing datenschutz@tacsta.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before it (Article 7(3) GDPR).

4.5 Sharing

We do not sell or pass your email to third parties for their marketing. Delivery of our internal signup notification uses the host’s email service (STRATO). We may disclose data if required by law.

5. No tracking tools we control

We do not run our own analytics, advertising or marketing cookies on this placeholder site. Technical access data from a normal page visit is handled as described in section 3 (STRATO).

6. Your rights

Where the legal conditions are met, you may in particular:

• request access (Article 15 GDPR)
• request rectification (Article 16 GDPR)
• request erasure (Article 17 GDPR)
• request restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR)
• receive data portability (Article 20 GDPR)
• object to processing based on Article 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR (Article 21 GDPR)
• withdraw consent (Article 7(3) GDPR)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). Contact details for German state commissioners: bfdi.bund.de.

7. Obligation to provide data

Providing an email address for the waitlist is voluntary. Without it we cannot add you to the list. You can browse the site without signing up.

8. Changes

We may update this policy when the law, our services or our technical setup change. The version published on this page applies.
